As many as 119.1 million Americans could be crowded out of private health coverage if a public health insurance plan is created. In other words, approximately 70 percent of those with private health insurance would lose what they have today.

A plurality of all Americans (49 percent) believe a private health insurance company is likely to provide better service and more choice, while 29 percent say a government-run plan would do a better job.
